Description
the deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to a slightly everted rim, the shallow interior painted in rich cobalt-blue tones with a floral medallion encircled by a lotus scroll band, the exterior with a broad leafy lotus scroll band, 15.5cm., 6 1/8 in; together with a small blue and white jar, late Ming Dynasty

Condition
The bowl is in good overall condition with the exception of a tiny hairline firing line to the base of the foot, a 1cm., wide flake to the inside edge of the footring, some frittiing around the rim and some minor firing imperfections including iron-spot glaze imperfections, pinhead-sized glaze holes and light glaze scratches. The jar is also in good overall condition with the exception of a stain running around the luting line, minor fritting around the foot, some minor firing imperfections including iron-spot glaze imperfections, pinhead-sized glaze holes and light glaze scratches.
