Description
the widely flaring sides rising from an angled base and short tapering foot to a foliate rim, freely carved to the interior with a rosette medallion encircled by a leafy floral band, covered overall with a bluish-green glaze, 20.2cm., 8in; together with a small ribbed celadon jar, Yuan Dynasty

Condition
The dish: In good overall condition with a network of glaze cracks to the interior and to a lesser extent the exterior. A 0.8 cm firing flaw on the cavetto. Two minor firing flaws to the foot rim. Note that there is additional provenance: The George Eumorfopoulos collection (according to sticker). There is also additional exhibition history: Manchester City Art Gallery, 1913 (according to sticker).
The jar: In good overall condition with an old shallow chip to the rim, 0.5 cm.
