Condition

Tortoise-shaped water dropper: Good overall condition. Owl-shaped box and cover: Retouching to two small edges of cover, one of the handles and the area of the rim adjacent to the handle. Brushwasher: Good overall condition; scattered areas of kiln grit to interior. Three of the spur marks have fully chipped away from the base. Note that there is additional provenance information: C.T. Loo & Co., Paris (according to label); and a label reading 'Helsinki Helsingfors 1956, 131'. Baluster vase: In good overall condition with slightly wobbly foot caused by the spur marks on the foot rim. Note that there is additional exhibition history: Ostasiatiska Museet [Sweden] Utst. 1966, Nr 39 (according to label). Tripod censer: In good overall condition with minor surface abrasions and glaze degradation. Fine craquelure throughout. Shallow 'lotus' bowl: In good overall condition with tiny nibbles and fritting on the rim. Iron spots on the body and kiln grit in the interior well. Small vase with narrow mouth: Fine condition overall with possible restoration to part of the mouth. Two small firing flaws on the body. One large iron spot on the foot rim with an adjacent saddle chip, a small section of which is lost. The color is greener than the catalogue image suggests. Rattle: In good condition with a small chip to the front left foot 0.4 cm.
