Description

the baluster body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck with cup-shaped mouth, covered overall in a dark chocolate-brown glaze draining to a buff tone at the rim

Condition

The vase is in very good overall condition with the exception of a 4mm., wide glaze flake to the edge of the foot, glaze crazing, two glaze pulls (2mm., diam and 1 x 5mm. long), some minor firing imperfections including pinhead-sized glaze holes and a slight lack of lustre to the glaze due to burial.
