Description

the warm honey-coloured material naturalistically carved in the form of a large magnolia flower, borne on gnarled leafy stalks issuing further smaller buds and flowers around the vessel, the openwork handle and foot formed by intertwining branches, a sinuous dragon intertwined with the handle and reaching over the rim, pierced wood stand

Condition

This is generally in good condition, but has had some re-carving to the top of one side at the end of one branch and one leaf. The end of the left petal has been cut off the flower to the other side. There is also a re-carved area to the rim at the front.
