Description

the robustly-potted body of slightly compressed globular form rising from a recessed base to an incurved broad mouth, finely painted around the exterior with a continuous scene of standing and recumbent playful deer in a rocky landscape

Condition

The brushwasher is in very good overall condition. There are minor pinpricks and iron spots to the body and some to the interior. One pinhole on the rim. There is an approximately 12 cm area around the rim that is suffused with bubbles. The foot rim with two short firing flaws approximately 5 cm long each. Pinholes to the base and minor abrasions to the glaze surfaces.
