Condition

A decorative piece of good overall appearance. Shell more iridescent than it appears in the illustration. Enclosing a dished interior. Minor crack to the underside with the grain running up the front edge, visible in the illustration. This is typical of age. Minor cracking to the sides near the hinge, again just visible in the illustration, as a result of the cut of the grain. A pleasing object of good weight in good overall condition.
