A decorative table by this sought-after designer of good overall appearance. Old marks and scratches and minor nicks to the side of the table, consistent with age and use. Of good structural condition. Ready for use and display.

McCarthy reproduces a photograph (of unknown date) of William Morris' study at Kelmscott House Hammersmith, showing a table of this design, op.cit., no.105. Morris used another table of this design in the Tapestry Room of his Oxfordshire home, Kelmscott Manor.
