  • A marqueterie-sur-verre vase
  • body with engraved vertical mark 'GALLÉ'

  • 24cm. high;
  • 9½in.
glass, carved and internally decorated, dichroic lower body below a band of purple at the neck, decorated with violets and carved leaves, with silver foil inclusions

Condition

The purple is of a much more subtle tone than the catalogue illustration suggests and the lower parts is of a much less orange tone. There are some seeds and bubbles visible within the glass and one burst bubble on the surface within one of the carved leaves. This is approximately 4mm max. length. Some traces of dirt to the interior consistent with use. A well coloured vase with finely carved details.
