Description

  • the lid carved with an 18th century subject of an outdoor recital, the veneered sides with carved, silvered and gilded musical trophies and diaper cartouches, later gold hinged clasp, the later gold lining struck 750 in a lozenge

Condition

Really needs to be seen and held to see delicacy of carving. Some wear to gilding and particularly to almost non existent silvering throughout but mostly on lid and back. The modern gold lining has a chequered design.
