Description
- a limewood figure of a bishop saint
his cloak falling in loose folds and with detailed fringing to its border, held by a morse, a church (restored) in his left hand
Condition
Overall the condition of the figure is good. The proper left hand and the church are probably replaced. There are a few minor areas of restoration to the drapery including a section to the back right, below the proper right arm, where the wood has been strengthened with a string of canvas on the back. There are a few minor spilts to the wood including splits to the mitre and to the base near the proper left foot. There are some minor chips and the proper right hand is missing. There are some traces of polychromy in the crevices. There is some minor worming throughout.
