There are few splits to the wood at the back, at the Virgin's left arm and the Christ child's left arm. The section between the Virgin's left hand and the Christ child's right leg form the knee has been reattached. Also the hands of the child and the dove may be restored. The tips of the moon sickle are missing. There is a larger chip to the back of the Virgin's head. There is some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age.
