Condition

The panel is in good condition, flat and even. There are a few scattered flecks of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably along the upper edge of the sky and a few flecks to the darker areas of the figures' garments. Apart from a hairline scratch to the lower edge of the red robe and two spots of pigment or surface dirt near the shoes, this work is in very good condition, with rich, fresh colours and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with incised motifs.
