Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably encircling the figure and to the lower quarter of the composition. The canvas is slightly loose on the stretcher, and there are scattered areas of craquelure, notably some paint shrinkage to the skirt of the figure. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
