Condition
The canvas has been relined. There are small scattered spots of retouching, concentrated in the lion's mane and in the background, along the upper edge, visible under ultraviolet light. This work is in overall good condition, with some scattered craquelure to the lighter areas and the lion's mane. Held in a wide, decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
