Catalogue Note

very rare: only one copy recorded (lyons, bibliothèque municipale). The philosopher William Manderston (c.1485-1552) was one of the finest Scottish minds of his generation. The Tripartitum was his first book. It is a work on logic and was first published in 1517, when Manderston was working at the University of Paris.
