PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in good condition. There is no apparent paint loss or damage to the canvas.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered minor retouching overall as well as an uneven layer of discoloured varnish.
FRAME
Held in a British 'Sunderland' carved and gilded frame.
