Catalogue Note
Het Vlas (The Flax) is a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, translated into Dutch and published by De Spiegel, Amsterdam in 1941. Bart van der Leck made several studies for this project, the ones here offered for sale predating the final designs now in the Kröller - Müller Museum in Otterlo. Another set of designs is still with the Van der Leck family
