Catalogue Note

Segodnya was an artists' cooperative founded in 1918 by Vera Ermolaeva, whose press issued poems and children's stories. Most items were issued in a print run of 1,000 copies, of which 125 were hand-coloured. The illustrations are all executed in a primitive style, derived from folk art.
