Chancery folio (291 x 193mm.), 331 leaves (of 332, without final blank leaf), double column, 65 lines plus headline, gothic letter, initial-spaces with guide letters, 8 woodcut diagrams in text, woodcut printer's device at the end, headline and heading printed in red on a1 recto, contemporary limp vellum, title lettered along spine, one small wormhole in text of first few gatherings, a few other small wormholes in margins towards the end, many headlines cropped, occasional light spotting and browning, early note of ownership on title-page papered over, spine damaged
