Catalogue Note

rare third edition of this Catalan compilation of maritime customs and ordnances, first published in 1483-84 with only two surviving copies. The 1494 second edition is similarly rare, as only 4 copies are recorded (one of which is incomplete).

The German printer Luschner worked in Barcelona from 1494/5 until about 1506. He started out as part of group of German printers and set up his own press in 1498, but he seems to have run into financial difficulties in 1506/7 and forfeited his printing equipment to satisfy a debt.
