4to (187 x 156mm.), illustrated manuscript on paper, 254 leaves, written in black ink in a semi-uncial hand, 25 lines, capitals, rubrics and headings in red, some initials with leafy extensions, 17 ornamental headpieces, 12 coloured in green, red, yellow, lilac and orange, contemporary blind-ruled and stamped leather over wooden boards, apparently incomplete, 325 torn with loss of about half the text (repaired and the text supplied by a later hand), other small tears with slight loss (some repaired with letters supplied by a later hand), spotting and staining, lacking clasps and catches
