Condition
Colours:
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The lower right quadrant has a beautiful white impasto effect that the catalogue illustration does not convey correctly.
Condition:
The canvas is not lined. Upon very close inspection, fine stable craquelures are visible throughout. Upon very close inspection, a craquelure (approximately 1 x 0.5 cm) is visible in the white impasto, localised in the lower right quadrant (approximately 22 cm from the lower edge). Upon very close inspection, a tiny paintloss is visible in the upper centre (approximately 0.05 mm). Some tiny dots fluoresce under UV light at the centre of the composition. The work is in good condition.
