Condition

This work is in good condition. The canvas is slightly slack. There is wear along all four edges as well as some handling marks and areas of discolouration towards the top edge as well as above the central left section of the bottom edge. There is a footprint beneath the "s" in the lower left quadrant and a 15 cm diagonal rub mark above this. There are faint creases to the canvas in places but most visibly along the left edge. There are some diagonal stretcher marks towards the upper left corner. There are some small tension cracks along the right edge of the composition and further drying cracks 5cm in from the upper right corner. There are some faint circular cracks of approx 5cm to the centre of the upper right quadrant with associated minute specks of paint losses. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light. Unframed
