Colours:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is softer in the original, with the paper background tending more towards off-white and sharper and more defined pencil lines.
Condition:
(i) This work is in very good condition. Securely hinged to the backing board in several places on the reverse, the top edge of the paper is uneven with skinning in places and the bottom edge is perforated. There are three vertical creases running along the composition and a minute finger mark towards the lower left corner. There is a small scratch to the paper 2cm. above this along the left edge.
(ii) This work is in very good condition. Securely hinged to the backing board in several places on the reverse, the paper undulates slightly and the lower left corner tip of the paper is slightly lifting.
