Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is softer and lighter, with the blue tending more to baby blue, and the yellow a slightly brighter hue in the original. Condition : This work is in very good condition. There is a small media accretion approximately 10cm below the upper left corner. There are several faint finger marks 30cm below the upper left corner on the extreme left edge. There are two minute rub marks to the extreme lower left corner and a further minute 1mm rub mark 30cm below the upper right corner. There are two minute specks of paint loss to the extreme outer edges: one towards the centre right of the bottom edge and a further on the left edge at the figure's eyebrow level. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
