Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the paper tone is a creamier hue in the original and the brown passages are a softer chocolate colour. Condition: This work is in good condition. The top edge is uneven and there are two discoloured tape marks to the top edge which appears to be original to the artist's working process. There are two faint creases to the paper: one running diagonally across the bottom left corner and one adjacent to the figure's face; the latter is only visible upon close inspection. There are several handling marks to the lower right corner as well as some light smudges in places along the bottom third of the composition. There is a 90° shaped repaired unobtrusive tear along the upper right edge.
