Catalogue Note
Manuel Rivera's Espejo Herido and Conrad Marca-Relli's The Woman of Samura are offered from one of the most interesting collections in Germany, the Hoh Collection.
In the relatively short period of 15 years, Alfred and Elisabeth Hoh brought together major works from the main movements of the European avant-garde.
They were especially interested in researching the complexity between Expressionism, Cubism, Symbolism, Orphism, Constructivism and the Neue Sachlichkeit in Europe. In rediscovering artists who had been neglected for a long time, Alfred and Elisabeth Hoh had a unique way of collecting art.
