Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. The illustration fails to convey the rich impasto texture of the paint. The bright reds tend more towards orange and the deep pinks tend more towards a rich cherry in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is wear to all four corner tips and along all four extreme edges. There are drying cracks in four places to the lower centre of the composition, to the white and red impasto paint. There are two faint rub marks towards the bottom left hand corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
