Catalogue Note
"Lo Savio's painting is luminous, shimmering, as if you could put your hand through it; and the lustreless metal seems to meld with the space surrounding it. As the surfaces recede, our eyes must chase them. We are made aware less of the thin planes than of the act of trying to locate and pin them down in space."
Alex Sainsbury, 'Seeing, for the first time', in: Exhibition Catalogue, London, Peer, Francesco Lo Savio, 2001, p. 5
