Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is softer in the original. The catalogue illustration also fails to convey the three dimensionality of the work. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Artist's frame: There is minor wear in places along the artist's frame, most notably along the extreme edges. There is a chip towards the centre of the bottom extreme edge of the frame. There are a few tiny losses to the left and right of the top extreme edges of the frame. There are a few tiny specks of media accretion and faint handling marks scattered throughout the frame. There are a few hairline cracks to the lower joints of the frame. Work: There are a few tiny dark media accretions on the purple wooden element. There are a few tiny specks of paint loss to the tips of some of the cork elements, visible in the catalogue illustration. There is a light layer of dust adhering to the surface. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
