This work is in very good condition overall. There are a few light scattered light surface abrasions. There are various nuances to the paint application, presumably inherent to the artist's working method where the deep red under paint is exposed.

Catalogue Note
"[Subodh's] packages remind one of Man Ray's cloaked sewing machine and the Surrealists' infatuation with mummified objects that Christo later amplified into an architectural scale. Masquerade, buried treasure, camouflage, espionage and concealed weaponry all come to mind." - Peter Nagy ("Transitory Indecisions and Fluctuating Monuments", Subodh Gupta, New Delhi, 2005, p. 7)
