Condition
This work is in very good condition. There is faint soiling to the upper right corner, presumably from handling. There are areas of surface impressions and evidence of faint discoloration in the upper right edge of the composition which do not fluoresce under UV light. Framed.

What I am trying to paint is not something different, but something more like the place I've photographed. Somehow the paint and the intensity of color emphasize the light and do things to build up form that a photograph does not do. In that way the painting is superior to the photograph - Richard Estes
