Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slight deeper and richer in the original. The illustration also fails to convey the true texture of the paint. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is canvas draw in the top two corners. The canvas is slightly loose on its stretcher. There are five small media losses to the composition: two to the lower right hand corner and three to the right centre of the bottom edge. There are a few tiny hairline cracks to the top centre of the electric blue sphere. There is light craquelure in places throughout the thicker areas of paint in the bottom quarter of the composition, visible only upon very close inspection. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals a spot of retouching to the centre of the extreme right edge. The painting would benefit from a light surface clean.
