Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue ilustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer, with the squares tending more towards cream in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is wear to all four corners and in places along all four extreme edges. There is a tiny nick to the canvas below the top left hand square and a faint horizonal rub mark to the left of this. There are two very fine hairline cracks in the two squares on the left edge. There are faint stretcher marks to the top and bottom edge. There are four very faint rub marks to the paint: one to the lower left corner, one to the central square, one to the square in the centre of the lower right quadrant, and one towards the centre of the right edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
