Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the background tends more to pale grey and there are warmer tones to the figure.
Condition: This work is in good condition. There is minor wear to all four corners. There are scattered minute specks of paint loss in places to all four edges. There are a few scattered media accretions in places to the central third of the composition. When examined under ultra-violet light, there is an intermittent thin line of resoration running along the upper and left extreme edges. There is a small area of retouched craquelure 4 cm below the centre of the upper extreme edge. There are further thin lines of restoration in places thoughout.
