Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter and more vibrant, with the blue tending more towards electric blue, the red more to London bus red in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the three-dimensionality of the work as well as the mirrored surface of the central mosaic. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are scattered spots of oxidisation to the metallic frame. There are some scattered chips, traces of light staining as well as a few fine isolated scratches to the mirrored surface. Upon close inspection, surface dirt can be seen adhering to the work. There are some isolated intermittent spots of paint loss to the painted border connecting the frame and the work, particularly to the left part of the bottom edge and to the left extreme edge (visible in the catalogue illustration).
