Condition
Original canvas has been repaired on the reverse in several places, but otherwise sound. Slight frame abrasion marks visible to the edges. Craquelure and surface dirt are visible throughout. Ultraviolet light reveals areas of retouching to the figure's eyes and elsewhere. Held in a simple composite frame which has a number of woodworm holes on the reverse
