Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been lined. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in good condition and has been cleaned. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals minor infilling to craquelure, particularly in the sky on the right, and small areas of retouching to the upper edge of the canvas. FRAME Held in a carved and gilded neo-classical style wood frame.
