Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been lined. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be good condition but appears to be have been stored as a rolled canvas without the frame at some point which has resulted in a fine overall craquelure. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered areas of retouching predominantly in the background. FRAME Held in a gilded neoclassical style frame
