of rectangular form embroidered with silver and silver-gilt threads on a deep blue silk ground with a bold thuluth inscription in an oblong cartouche between bands of repeating leaves, mounted on a stretcher

a fragment of a larger piece, wear and tear to the metal threads with recent consolidation and repair, loose silk threads stitched back to the ground, mounted on stretcher, as viewed
