Canvas is lined (work was restored recently) SURFACE: in good condition UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: a few large, repaired tears--largest is horizontal, about 11 in. long, cuts across the center of the work; another tear is vertical, starts at the center of painting and extends about 3 in. up from the 1st tear; a 3rd tear is really an extension of the 1st--coils down and around at left (extends about 4 in. down vertically from the left edge of the 1st tear)
