Condition
Canvas is not lined (is loose on stretcher and buckles in several places) SURFACE: in generally good condition; dirty, sloppily applied varnish (several scattered areas of surface are more matte than others--mostly the varnish seems quite shiny) UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: there does not appear to be any inpainting, but there are several spots which fluoresce--these coincide with the more "matte" areas mentioned above--a glaze of some sort perhaps? or just the absence of varnish?
