Description

  • Length: 47.6 cm
of overall rectangular form, the entire surface decorated with finely incised scrollwork, the lid highly decorated with a thin medial ridge in the form of three full tiki figures each with folded hands on the abdomen and highly decorated with fine and intricate scrollwork, each end adorned with a full tiki figure in a squat posture carved in high relief (both with old repairs), fine dark brown patina

Condition

The lid is in very good condition with some minor scuffing and the box is in similiar condition though there is an old repair to one end which at some point was broken away in two sections and has been restored
