Description
- Lengths: 62.1 cm, 64.3 cm, 59.5 cm
consisting of a wunda shield with fluted design divided into three sections to form a zig-zag motif infilled alternately with traces of red and white pigment, the reverse with engraved linear motifs and loop handle with traces of red pigment overall; together with a spearthrower of elongated, leaf-like form with wooden peg attached with kangaroo sinew at the top, tapering to form a handle with spinifex resin attached to the base, the front engraved with traditional linear motifs and the reverse replete with adze markings; and a hunting boomerang, the distal end shorter and acutely curving to the throwing arm, the entire surface replete with very fine adze markings, shiny patinas overall
Condition
There are no visible repairs or restoration to the artefacts and all three have sustained minor damage from use.
