Description

  • 113cm. high.
24.5-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed Jacquier A Paris, finely engraved pierced gilt hands, movement with five baluster pillars signed J.lien Le Roy A Paris converted to pinwheel escapement, numbered countwheel striking on a bell, shaped gilt bronze case marked C-couronné surmounted by a cockerel on clouds with a sunburst flanked by putti, scrolls and flowers to the sides, shaped putto flanked by a putto, the base with two cherub heads between panel clouds personifying wind

Condition

replaced dial with a scratch, two dial feet broken, dial plate with three un-used holes indicating the replaced dial, movement in working order and converted from verge to pinwheel escapement probably done somewhere in the 19th Century, movement in working order, case in good condition, regilt but well done also probably in the 19th Century, together with a pendulum and winder
