Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although it fails to fully convey the surface texture and subtle tonal variations present in the original, as well as the gold side edges (tapered on the left and right), which are part of the composition.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is a small scratch to the centre of the upper half of the right gold edge, as well as a small matrix of very fine scratches below that. There are two minute dents to the gold on the upper edge, right of the top left extreme corner tip. A number of scattered unobtrusive handling marks can be noticed upon close inspection along the edges.

Catalogue Note
"Beauty is notoriously difficult, if not impossible, to define. But Spalletti's work offers visual pleasures appreciable by everyone: delicate and almost sensuously tactile surfaces, colours and forms just sufficiently different from familiarity to intrigue and make the viewer wonder at them anew."Courtesy Studio la Città , Michael Haggerty, 2004
