Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is softer and lighter in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the subtle tonal variations to the central area present in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a very fine stretcher mark running along the four edges, approximately 2 cm. in from the extreme overturn edge. There is some light wear to the four extreme edges and corner tips, with light dirt gathered in scattered places and associated minute scattered rub marks. A number of further unobtrusive and fine rub marks can be noticed upon close inspection to the work's surface in scattered places. There are two minute media accretions in the lower right quadrant, approximately 20 cm. right of centre. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
