Catalogue Note
Although this sculpture dates from 1970, it was one of the pieces chosen by Chadwick much later in his career to be part of a new departure in his work when it was recreated in sheet stainless steel on a much larger scale as Hello Paris in 1988. This huge sculpture, over twelve feet tall, used the angularity of the earlier form to great effect in combination with the hard reflective surfaces of stainless steel.
