Condition
There is a restored scratch towards the left edge that is still visible. Otherwise the work appears to be in its original condition. Held in a gilt wood and plaster frame with a cream plaster inlay.
Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals various passages and spots of retouching in the sky, beach, sails and figures.
